The end of Summer Nightastic is drawing close, and the rumor mills are turning. This fall's top rumor is that Captain E-O may make a Halloween Time return to Disneyland Park. Team Disney Anaheim are gathering frequently to prepare and brainstorm for such a happenning. There would be some minor bugs and contracts to work around, but since the "Honey I Shrunk the Audience" attraction is at an all time low attendance, anything would help this fading area of the Disneyland park. The return of Captain E-O would help drive park-goers to the park, as well as add to the over 800,000 annual passholders that are attending the park. There are many people who would like to pay tribute to the late Michael Jackson, and many people who never got the chance to see the original Captain E-O 3D lazer show.
This rumor has been on and off for years. As of last month the major rumor was that the Star Tours 2 project had been canceled. But new rumors are saying that this project has been brought back online if for no other reason than to prove to the Disney Suits that the employees are still needed to improve attractions at the park.
A recap on the attraction is that the video you see will be replaced. It is expected that when it gets replaced it will be 3D and require you to wear the 3D glasses that are becoming more and more popular.
Keep in mind, this is just a rumor. But have your fingers crossed!
The leaked pictures of the concept art of Disney's California Adventure at Disneyland Resort weren't all that clear. Well Screamscape has done an awesome job at taking the overhead map pic that shows where cars land will go and putting it on a satellite image of how the new land will fit in. It's looking like some existing building may need to be taken out to make room for the "Route 66" that will lead guests into Cars Land. It will be interesting to see how this one pans out, at least we have a better understanding of how Cars Land may fit in now.
What was once a WDW only treat, may be arriving at Disneyland in 2009 for their "What Will You Celebrate?" promotion. The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a store that allows young girls to be transformed into Disney Princess. Makovers are done to dress the girls in their favorite princess garments. There are currently 2 Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutiques in WDW, and hopefully soon in Disneyland, where the current Once Upon a Princess store in Sleeping Beauty Castle resides.
Special note from Original D:An error has been made that requires a correction. At the time the photos of the DCA concept art were published on this site, the original photographer was unknown to me. I came across them anonymously from a random website found via a google search that was not an already well-known site. All I knew was that the photos had been 'leaked' and were already out in the general public's eye. Today, the original photographer contacted me asking for deserved credit for the photos. Since then I have learned she is MiceChat member "BFJen", and the photos were originally posted there among many others as part of a photo TR of hers. They inclued one concept art picture previously unknown to me and NOT posted on Original D. If you wish to see all the pictures in their original context, please do so here: http://micechat.com/forums/3145284-post1.html. I apologize for any offense, inconvenience, or misgivings my update may have caused. Thank you for your time. -- Ryan
It's looking like some concept art may have been leaked out on the internet. None of these have been confirmed by Disney but boy do they look real! Anyway, onto the pictures of Disney's California Adventure! Click "Read more..." to see the pictures.
It's been a while since we have had any good rumors come our way. But this one is starting to fly around to the point that some sites are already reporting it as fact. Disney hasn't announced it yet, so in the rumors area this one will stay... Starting this fall (November) new annual passholders can finance their annual pass! You pay the price for a single day park hopper up front, they keep a credit card on file and charge you once per month for the remaining balance. (Roughly 24 bucks a month for the Premium Pass). Anybody renewing will have the same option starting in January of 2009.
