Julie Andrews Gets Carrousel Horse Dedication
April 9th, 2008
When you think of Julie Andrews you think “Disney”. Julie got her jump start for her career with her role as “Mary Poppins” in 1964. Since that day she has become a Disney Icon. If you have been to the parks in the past few years you may have noticed she is the Ambassador for the 50th Anniversary Celebration at Disneyland Park. You may have also heard her voice as the narrator for the spectacular fireworks display “Remember… Dreams Come True”. She has become such an icon in the parks and for the company in general that the lead horse on King Arthur’s Carrousel, “Jingles”, has been hand painted with special designs and dedicated to the now famous actress. This is a huge honor and marks a spot for her for the rest of time in the history of Disneyland.
