Indy Show Date Confirmed

On the newest Disneyland Resort Park Maps there is an addition of an advertisement for Indiana Jones: Summer of Hidden Mysteries. Not a ton is known about the show other than it will be a very small scale show performed in the streets (and rooftops) of Adventureland. Looks like they are launching it the same day that Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will be released in theaters, May 22, 2008. Listed on the Disneyland Official Audition site are three roles for an upcoming live show at Disneyland. All that is really known is there will be Indiana Jones (duh), a female archaeologist, and a male bad guy. The description of the female says she will start out nice but will “reveal a villainous side.” The page also refers to interacting with children and leading them through activities. This makes me to believe this is more of a “Live Play Time With Indy” rather than the “Indy Live Action Show” concept I was hoping for. It states that the role of the bad guy “pursues Indiana Jones through the crowded streets of Adventureland, ending in a series of balcony and rooftop confrontations.” Now that part I think sounds pretty amazing. It sounds like this could end up being something similar to the Pirate Show that takes place randomly on the Fantasmic stage during the day to go with the Pirate’s Lair theme. When should we expect to see this show? I’d imagine they are aiming to begin showing it when the fourth installment of the Indiana Jones movies comes out this May; but that is after all, speculation.
