Disneyland Gives Unlimited Fastpasses to VIPs!

April 11th, 2008

Disneyland has been giving amazing fastpasses that are good for ANY attraction (that has a fastpass system) ANY number of times on the day of the visit to certain VIPs. Who are these VIPs and why do they get these magic passes? These are mainly celebrities or other high profile people that would cause a crowd and a problem if recognized while waiting in the standard line. Going through fastpass line gives these people (often accompanied by their own body guards) less time to be noticed. They didn’t ask for the solution to be magic and wonderful, it just is. Well, for them anyway. How do you get your hands on one of these golden tickets? Become so popular that just by your presence in a normal line would cause chaos (that isn’t your fault). Yeah, that should do it.

Disneyland Amazing VIP Package

April 3rd, 2008

Disneyland has an amazing VIP package that few people know about. Several things are included in this 6 day (3 at Disneyland) package. Some of the things included are experiences like unlimited fastpasses to select rides, seeing the parade floats in the storage warehouse, a tour of Walt’s original apartment above the fire station, riding Space Mountain with the lights ON, behind the scenes of Indiana Jones and Soarin’, reserved seats for popular shows such as Fantasmic and Aladdin, among other things. Basically, this offer is a DREAM COME TRUE for any fan of Disneyland. This would be the experience of a lifetime! The problem? The special VIP package will set you back a total of about 2-3 thousand dollars per person (depending on time of year). At least you get your hotels and most meals paid for, but that is still a pretty large sum of money.

Disney to Replace Pirates Ride!!!

 April 1st, 2008

In a totally unexpected move by Disney, it was announced today that as part of the 55th Anniversary in 2010 Disneyland will reopen a completely re-done Pirates of the Caribbean ride! “In every great attraction there is a beginning and an end. This will mark the end of the outdated version of Pirates and begin a whole new Pirates experience”, explained Bob Iger (President of Walt Disney Company). They plan on recreating every scene to tie in with the Pirates trilogy. According to Tony Baxter (Senior Vice President Creative Development), “This will be an amazing new ride, you won’t recognize a single thing, it is a completely different experience, except Captain Jack of course! (laughs)” They are reporting that the black pearl will be one of the main focal points of the new ride. That leads me to believe it will be about the first and maybe second movie more than anything. Is this a good thing? It is up to you to decide. But before you do, please remember to check the date that this article was written. ;)
