New Message Boards Layout

This layout was chosen because it better suits the direction of the website as a whole.

I was just thinking about the change and scrolled down to this topic.  I like it - more separation and quick to use.  Good work.l

Whew, the upgraded message boards are now up and running.

Now that they are working I will be "Original D-ifying" them over the coming weeks to bring back the Mickey icons and more...

If anybody sees anything that is entirely missing that used to be there please let me know.

I had to change the message boards to keep the software up to date and avoid having security holes and prevent spam bots from being able to post spam in our lovely little community!

Does anyone else have difficulty reading all the posts on a full page?  The screen seems so busy and I find it difficult to quickly see someone's posted message - with all of us having those little taglines/photos after our post and then there doesn't seem to be a very difinitive separation.  Like a thick line or something to show when my post ends and the next one begins.  Am I making sense?

Each post has a faint color difference, but maybe because I'm getting old, I find it difficult to read.

Nope you don't make any sense at all HAHA! I think it works pretty well so far, although I haven't had a full chance to play around with it yet.

Edit: One technical issue I have noted. The forums seem to save the physical position of where you are on the page to the next. So for example if I scroll to the bottom of the forums to find this section. When I click the link for the section I find myself at the bottom of the list of topics when the next page opens. Same goes for moving backwards. If I read one of the topics and scroll to the bottom of the comments and go backwards two pages to get back to the main forum page I find myself at the bottom of the page no matter what section I was in.

Hope that THAT makes some sense.
