With the opening of Cars Land, a world inhabited by living modes of transportation, the Monorails have developed personas of their own.
Each monorail's spiel is delivered by the monorail's alter ego, who also delivers some horrific puns in the process.
Matterhorn reopened on the same day DCA relaunched itself, but it has seen its share of riders too.
In addition to receiving an extensive refurb, Matterhorn also received a completely new paint job over the entire mountain.
This is the first time Matterhorn received one since the mountain was fully enclosed.
The result is a much more life-like distribution of snow on the peak.
The new sleds...they seat 3 to a sled, and are quite painful...
Not much physical change to the loading area.
The biggest changes have been no more asking if people want to sit together or seperate, and the addition of a single rider line.
At first glance they might look like Magic Kingdom Space Mountain's cars but consider...
No padding in or around the seats at all whatsoever. No legroom on the sides of the seats. Seat belts instead of lap bars.
So this might be rather short-lived, especially given how many complaints of painful rides have been delivered.
