Yes, another HUGE update is finally here. We've got over 150 pictures ready & waiting to give you your Disneyland fix. With that many pictures, who needs an intro paragraph? You know we're going to show you everything and more, so let's get right to it!
It never fails to amaze me. So many changes going on, and yet, these banners are still up. Mickey's Fun Wheel? Food & Wine Festival? Monorails? Well, maybe they don't want to put the new monorails in showcase just yet, but just about anything would be better than this monument to confusion.
First we're headed back to the Disneyland Hotel to check things out as it's been a few months. Here's the "Wonder" Tower's entrance demonstrating the best way to deal with the drought CA is currently in - have a large random waterfall, of course!
Remember those refurbished rooms we showed you a few months ago? Yeah, nothing has come yet, but there will be more popping up here soon. Of course, "refurbished" means these rooms will start having such luxuries as an in-room coffee pot.
I can has fishee?
For those with recession-proof wallets who can stay here at the DLH, there's a photo-op and some splashy goodness.
The DLH also sports the coolest remote control boat game EVER!
"Folks we are now traveling along the Nile River. If you don't believe me, ask the person sitting next to you, but you'll probably find that you're just as much in De-Nile as they are."
Over near the entrance to Goofy's Kitchen there's a wall...
Having a wonderful time in Hawa-- err, Anaheim!
Disney and AMC theatres have a small suggestion of what movie you should see...
Rainforest Cafe sports the occasional bird-viewing outside. The birdies always look nice but this one was eyeing me like it wanted to eat my spleen.
After many months of showing who's leaving Downtown Disney, it's nice to be able to say that kitsonkids is coming to Downtown Disney soon.
kitsonkids is a retail boutique shop offering clothes, toys, books, and shoes for kids ranging in age from toddler through pre-adolescent, and will be moving in here to the former Starabillas location.
Look for kitsonkids to open next month. Hope it all goes well.
In a shocking turn of events, the Mark VII Monorails were out running in temperatures warmer than 80 degrees!
Monorail Orange out looking very Orangey out in the sunlight, and to the undoubted shock of several lawyers, not one guest in the filled-to-capacity train looks to be sticking a limb out the half-windows. Amazing, isn't it?
kitson kids isn't the only new Downtown Disney tenant. littlemissmatched has set up shop here in the former Department 56 location.
I say there should be a little disclaimer outside that reads, "DANGER: Do not bring a Y chromosome beyond this doorway. Extreme peril."
This picture was taken at such great peril. The amount of peril simply cannot be comprehended here. I don't think I've ever seen so many girl flip flops in my life.
Speaking of unfortunate things to bring into a girl's life, construction on Studio Disney 365 continues. Remember this will eventually be the place where you can bring your girls to be transformed into their favorite "Disney pop princess."
So Pixar's latest flick is now out in theatres. See it a time or five...
Earth to people: IT'S JUNE NOW!
For the Disney nostalgist in the family...
